Abstract

The resistance (1) has two half shells (2, 3) formed from aluminium sheet. The sheet of aluminium is shaped to form a tubular body (4) composed of two half shells (2, 3). The tubular body (4) has at its upper part (5) has a lip which is formed by folding the aluminium sheet. Each half shell (2, 3) has a wing (7, 8) which are welded (9) together along the length of the tubular body (4). On these wings (7, 8) are two heat deflectors (10, 11) which are an integral part of the body (4). In the deflection (10, 11) are formed open shutters (12, 13, 14). Inside the tubular body is magnesium oxide (15) which envelopes the electrical resistance (16). The end of the end ends of the tube are sealed by ferrules (17) whose shoulders (19) but up against the tubes ends (20, 21).
